Good bye Work Week! It's Friday; Let's Get This Weekend Started!

Yes, I said the word: WEEKEND!

Let's kick off the weekend slightly early and get an event filled weekend started today!

At 2:00 p.m. SLT, Our first Feel Good Fridays event - The SL Friendship Network's Grand National. Get your entries in to Scara if you're up to the challenge, or just come along, bring your fancy hats, and cheer on your friends.

So ... I’m going to post a location and a topic every Wednesday.  I'll be hanging out from 4-5pm SLT so stop by and say hello!

Riders, Start Your...Ponies?

Feeling a little hay-wire? Need a jump? Addicted to horsepower?

It's time to mount up for SLFN's inaugural Feel Good Fridays event - The SL Friendship Network's Grand National.

This week, on the 24th, will be SL's first ever Grand National. People can enter the race as jockeys with their steeds or come along and cheer on their favorite pony. (No betting, just supporting) 

Jockeys must register by sending a notecard to Scaramouche Dryke for entry with the name and info about their horse.

Ladies can get dressed up too in proper lady hats and show them off to everyone else. 

Prizes 

There will be a prize for first, second and third place, as well as a prize for the lady with the most beautiful/unique hat.

Announcing: The Cheesy Game Show Night on Mondays, 12:00 pm SLT

That's right, we have a new event to tell you about! 

The Cheesy Game Show Night will take place on Monday at 12:00 pm SLT. 

Your hosts are Scara (Scaramouche Dryke) and David MacIntyre (davidmac Resident).

"Have you ever been one of those people who watched those tv game shows, shouting at the screen, knowing all the answer and thinking you could do better?

Well now is your chance! Every Monday from now on, Scara and David from the SL Friendship Network will be hosting an event dedicated to all those cheesy game shows, and you, yes you, could be our next contestant!

Prizes to be won every week and many laughs to have along the way as we explore quizzes, luck and the down right silly shows that we have all grown to love." -Scara


The inaugural event was a riotous ride as 6 contestants squared off for a contest of wills and wits in Avatar Family Fortunes (a.k.a. Family Feud - SL style).

Prizes - The winning blue team (Wolf, Conner and Ambie) each won a bunny cell phone, and the big winning prize was a tuk tuk truck for Wolf.

On the red team - Kiyoki, Weasel and Angel, sadly, won nothing.

Earlier this week, SLFN held its first member challenge:

a 5L Fashion Show

The Rules:

I have seen the future and it is beautiful, we all know that our past always comes and bites us square on the butt, well today it's there courtesy of me for there will be an event that is sure to tickle the creative out there (which of course, is all of you!).

Therefore I propose a challenge! You must go back to when you first stepped into SL and you were cradled by RUTH. When you were looking into the big SL world, wondering where your choices would take you, momma RUTH was there to guide your way.

All children will revisit the nest and now it's your turn!

The Challenge!

Strip everything... clothes, hair, eyes, skin and even shape and snuggle in your rekindled relationship with momma RUTH (If you do not know how I'm happy to help you).

You have up to 5L.
Go make a new avatar, yes this means you will have to dive down into the depths of freebie world (don't be scared it's an awesome place). You may use group gifts... the group must be free to join...

You must keep track of your items and provide a detailed notecard of all your items their price and where you got them (We will be checking everything :) )

You may NOT use items you already have in your inventory (even if they were free) and also you may NOT accept any gifts from friends to use in this challenge.
